Public transport

Comfortable to the starting points of many tours

Olang | Valdaora can be reached by both train and bus.  All of the surrounding villages and outlying areas can be reached very well by public buses.

For bicycle transport the capacity in the trains is limited.

For all the owners of the GUEST PASS OLANG there’s also the possibility to use all the means of public transportation in South Tyrol for free. Included are the Citybus Valdaora and all the local trains.

Südtirolmobil is your helper for the fastest route from A to B. Use the Südtirolmobil App to have all the timetables at your fingertips.

Bike Transport

To take the bikes on the train please consider the following regulations:

In general, the transport of bicycles on public transport is only permitted if there is sufficient space and safety can be fully guaranteed. Seat or space reservations cannot be made.

On local trains, approximately 16–18 bicycles can be transported in the designated compartments or train sections. In the Olang area, there are very few intercity buses, so transporting bikes on low-floor buses is not possible. Additionally, bicycles are not allowed on city buses or minibuses.

It is therefore recommended (if you are not using your own bike) to rent a bicycle. Rented bikes can be returned at any station belonging to the same bike rental organization ("Südtirol Rad" or "Papin Sport"). This eliminates the need to transport bikes on public transport.

If you still choose to transport your bicycle on public transport, please remember to buy a ticket for it:

  • Bicycle day ticket: €7.00, available at ticket counters and vending machines; must be validated for each journey.
