Highlights

in Val Casies Valley-Monguelfo-Tesido

Experience 3 holiday resorts

Would you like to spend your vacation in one of the idyllic vacation resorts in the Val Casies Valley-Monguelfo-Tesido? Here you can find more info about the valley and the surrounding villages

The holiday resorts valle di Casies, Monguelfo and Tesido are situated in a quiet location, in the midst of a breathtaking mountain landscape. The famous Braies Lake and the imposing Tre Cime di Lavaredo are in the immediate vicinity. Monguelfo, the village with an abundant past and its own sun deck by the name of Tesido, is located at the entrance to the Val Casies Valley. It is Welsperg Castle, which, on its sunny cliff, very carefully watches over who is passing through the gateway to undisturbed nature.  It will tell anyone who visits and listens to its history about what was once the most noble family in all of Tyrol, the lords of Welsperg. It also plays a role in the Paul Troger Route as a stop. Those, on the other hand, who prefer to put their energy into nature instead of culture will find Tesido to be the ideal starting point. Countless strolling paths and hiking trails lead into a landscape of forests and meadows with abundant views of the Dolomites.

Val Casies Valley

Is one of the sunny side valleys of the Val Pusteria Valley. A well-maintained road leads through the 20-kilometer-long valley. Tradition is written in capital letters in the region: Rustic farms and alpine huts invite you to stay. What makes the Val Casies Valley special is the unique landscape with the beautiful hiking trails and the mountain scenery.
